Someone has said, “To grow old is to pass from passion to compassion.” For myself (and those that know me) there has never been a doubt about my passion. But now that I am grey-headed and a sexagenarian (in my 60’s), I don’t have the same certainty about my compassion. This saddens me. Therefore Lord, grant me Your heart of compassion and cause me to be an instrument of care, concern & tender-mercy toward the people around me for the duration of my earthly life and ministry. Amen.
Psalm 71:18 ministered to me today ~ “Yes, even when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not, but keep me alive until I have declared Your mighty strength to this generation, and Your might and power to all that are to come.” (Amplified)
